Joatani Open House

Visitor privacy

What we collect and why

When you sign in at an open house, we collect the name and contact details you provide, your visit time, and your answers about the property and your plans. If you provide details of an agent you work with, those details are recorded too. Hosting agents may add follow-up notes and a contact status.

The hosting agent and people they authorize can use these details to manage visits, understand interest in the property, and follow up with you. Joatani and its service providers process the information to operate and support the service. Property reports and exports may include your responses. If you ask for contact from a named lender, your details may be provided to that lender.

How long we keep it

New visitor sign-ins expire 12 calendar months after submission. Records already stored when this policy takes effect expire 12 calendar months after that rollout. Adding notes or changing a contact status does not extend retention. Expired records are permanently removed from our live database within 24 hours.

Backup copies may remain for up to approximately 91 days after removal from the live database. Backups are restricted to recovery. We reapply deletions and remove expired records before restored data is made available.

Request deletion

Email privacy@joatani.com to request deletion. You do not need an account. Name the hosting agents covered by your request and provide the contact details used at sign-in and enough visit information for us to find your records.

Support verifies your identity and the scope of the request before deleting records. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days of receiving them. We explain any applicable exception or extension. We keep a restricted record of the request and our response for at least 24 months.

Agents or recipients may hold exported or forwarded copies. Support follows up with those recipients and records their responses. We cannot remotely erase files downloaded to another person’s device.
